Alberta Equestrian Federation (AEF) has been invited by the Government of Alberta to comment on plans for trails, particularly OHV trails in the northwest corner of the Ghost Public Land Use Zone.  In order to prepare for this consultation, AEF wants to fully understand what equestrian (trail, wagon, other) trails exist in this area and are regularly used, this area includes the Panther valley.  The goal is to avoid conflict with trail users while providing opportunities for all trail users, providing the best possible recreational experience.

We invite members and others to share their .GPX files of travels in this area with us, so that we can develop a comprehensive list and map of horse trails in close proximity to the Panther Valley.

Such a list and map is important as we have observed that the Government of Alberta is not aware of all of the trails that we equestrians use in this region, and during the consultation process it will be critical to compare our usage with their plans.
